Travel Blog: Malaysia Day Trip - Legoland, 乐高乐园一日游, 3 Mar 13, Part 1

It's another trip to Malaysia. No, not just any other Malaysia trip. It's quite an impromptu trip to Legoland Malaysia! We only decided to go just the day before. Nothing planned, just went ahead the next day. Spontaneity gives pleasant surprises. We took the bus from Queen Street bus terminal as usual to Woodlands Checkpoint and then took the bus LG1 from JB Sentral. It's really convenient and the ride didn't take long. Probably less than an hour, if I remember correctly.

It was a pretty hot and humid day. But that didn't dampen our spirits. It's another theme park visit! Lego has been my childhood playmate for a long time, so it's really interesting to be able to visit this theme park built around the Lego legacy. When we got off the bus, it's quite a long walk to the entrance of Legoland Malaysia. Right outside the theme park, a hotel was being built. Wonder how it'll look like when it's done. I went to get one more ticket, on top of the one free ticket that Dear had. Then we went for a quick lunch at the nearby mall which contains many restaurants, convenience stores etc. There were many restaurants to choose from actually, but KFC was the nearest to the entrance of Legoland, so we settled for that.

Finally, Legoland Malaysia, here we come!

Looks like not very crowded, even though it's a Sunday.

Have a quick bite at KFC first. Yum!!!

Hey you two! Stop!

Looks like one of the toilet bowls has malfunctioned. Tough job!

This was found in the male toilet.

Looks like some tourists got themselves lotsa Lego goodies.

All the Lego merchandise can be found here.

Medallion machine! Seems like all theme parks now have such machines.

Sebric? That's the snake's name?

To think that uncle still can fall asleep when there's such a huge snake around him.

This guy trying to be funny?

Dear wants to be a painter as well.

Malay mother and son, in their traditional Malay outfit.

Time for some action!

Just a picture in this Project X ride!

Holy crap! Giant octopus!

Wouldn't wanna get wet playing this!

Hmm what can these robots do?

Huge Lego sculpture of the face of Albert Einstein.

What's this guard doing here lazing around?!

Some lovely Lego butterflies.

Fire-breathing target practice. A must for every fire-breathing dragon!

Huge fortress playground for the kids to enjoy. How I wish I were still a kid lol.

Rollercoasters anyone?

The revolving viewing tower. Can see the whole of Legoland and its surrounding.

Creepy crawlies made of Lego still give the creeps!

The Lego castle!

Lego warrior?

Now you see me...

Now you DON'T....!!!!

The queen of the castle!

The blacksmith gonna make some fine weapons.

Horsie ride!

What are these two rabbits doing?

Inside the revolving tower.

Can see the Legoland hotel being built in the distance.

Oh no! Dear being devoured by the lion!

This is Cristiano Giraffo!

Some dinos can be found in Legoland as well.

Here we found a father and daughter in Malay traditional costumes.

Now THAT's what you call a musical fountain.

Nice-looking parrots in vibrant colours.

Shouldn't they be giving out Lego plushies as prizes instead of Angry Birds ones?

Surprisingly we didn't try any of the rides. Not much time to do so.

Mini free-fall tower for kids.

Egyptian themes can always be found in theme parks.

A shooting-style indoor ride.

Pretty much like all the other shooting rides in other theme parks.
